How much more will things change for us in 2008? We have an election coming up for a new President. For the first time we have a woman and a person of color seeking the opportunity to run for President. Let's continue holding each other up before God in prayer. No matter how much things change they tend to remain the same. Is this country ready to accept the real possiblility of a "colored man" running the American government? Can we face the future of having a woman in charge of the United States?
I know that "with God all things are possible" and the more Americans that come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ the better off we will be. Jesus has been born, "the GOVERNMENT is on his shoulders and his name is Wonderful Counselor...." There is no need to fear for God is on our side Isa. 41:10. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!

Blessed are they that mourn
I really had no idea who Benazir Bhutto political effects of her death. There seems to be a lot of finger pointing and hear say going on concerning all of the details surrounding what happened. One thing is certain, a life was lost due to violence and that is not the will of God. My heart goes out to the family and all those who mourn because of this woman's untimely death. The bible says in Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn for they will be comforted. I pray for Gods grace and mercy while many more come to realize that God's promises are binding and he has already begun to comfort all who mourn.

Something for the Christmas Blues
Phil 4:8 says " Bretheren, whatsoever are true, honest, pure, lovely, of good report, if there be any virtue, if there by any praise; think on these things" This is how we keep are hearts and minds focused in the right places. The source of most conflict in life centers around the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. These senses can be deadened if you focus on what Paul mentioned in Phillipians 4:8. That's some really good advice from the best book in the world, Holy Bible. Praise God that today is Christmas and we have the day off. Halleluiah!!!!! Merry Christmas.

As the leaves use sunlight
There is no reason to ever dwell on the past. No matter where we are in life it is always best to treat the past the way the leaves of a tree use sunlight. Let it pass right through you and only use what is necessary to sustain life. Make a commitment today to never go through life the same way. Everything your life that has been done around you or to you can only be repeated. If the results were bad the first time you can rest assure they will be horrible the second time. Place the past in God's hands and let him turn it into sunshine to use for your future. Cast your cares on Jesus for he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
